One of my fellow directors has been having trouble recently with Outlook Contacts synchronising to her Windows Mobile Treo. Only about half of the contacts were syncing. It turns out that the Display As field in the contact on Outlook determines whether or not the contact is synced – at least in her case.The two cases I found that weren’t syncing were those where Display As was blank, or it contained an email address. The resolution was to cut-and-paste the full name into the Display As field so that it is not blank, and does not contain an email address (I think the @ character may have been causing trouble). Once the Display As was updated the contact was immediately synced and appeared on the Treo.
