Around this time of year the New Zealand flag invariably comes up as a topic for discussion. Many people seem to find it difficult to relate our flag to themselves and want a new flag to represent our country. I am of the opinion that we have one of the best flags of any nation. Why? Well let me tell you what the New Zealand flag symbolises for me.

This time last month it was Christmas. It seems like a very long time ago now, with everyone back at work looking at computers instead of grabbing the camera and sunscreen for a day of unstructured outdoor mucking about. Oh, well - only 11 months to go til next Christmas. That means plenty of time to hone some shooting skills and maybe even learn how to use Lightroom properly. We'll see.
